About my work

I establish the space/time concept in my work through constructive languages, chosen by spontaneous affinity.
They are optical-sensorial sensations, through geometrical structures, which develop space/time relationships. Such form-yielding structures.
The concept is found in the interaction of the planes, of the delimitations, of the lines, of the colors and surface. The forms can be read as planes and vice-versa, which, in turn, are surfaces. As surfaces, the pictorial action presents itself very subtly, for being smooth. When a line arises in the intersection of the planes, the later develops spatial tensions. It is in this very moment that I determine the time, which is at times set by the movement of the lines in the serial work; or at times by gaps of the same, giving forth rhythm; or at times by the division of the colors.
The color, at times, is autonomous language acting as protagonist.
The white and the black, almost always present, are also light and shadow, they are spaces, concepts.
The predominance of the form makes the work real. This is when it reaches its plenitude.
I believe that the poetry of my work lies in the field of perception, created as mathematical formulations that induce the observer to partake the constructive project as an introspective journey within oneself.
